DRAFT Item Description Requirement: The National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC) requires fifteen (15) off-the-shelf artifact display cases that can be repeatedly installed and deinstalled for temporary exhibit purposes in a museum environment.
Salient Characteristics:
1. The display cases must meet the standards found in the ANSI/NISO Z39.79-2001 ISSN: 1041-5653 Environmental Conditions for Exhibiting Library and Archival Materials.
2. The display cases must be constructed of archival materials, and all glazing must consist of clear acrylic panels.
3. The display cases must be designed and constructed for repeated temporary use. Cases must be capable of multiple installations and de-installations over time. A case intended for permanent installation is not suitable.
4. The display cases must be built specifically to break down into flat components for compact storage of parts.
