About this file

This document is a Specifications file for a flatbed truck installation for the Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge (NWR). The specifications detail the requirements for a heavy-duty flatbed installation on a 2024 Ram 3500, Single Cab, Single rear wheel truck with a 58" cab-to-axle (CA) configuration. The required flatbed features include an 84"X103" heavy-duty steel work bed, formed headache rack with integrated lighting, black powder coat finish, 30,000lb gooseneck hitch, 24,000lb receiver hitch, short skirting, rub rails, stake pockets, side boards, two front underbody steel tool boxes, a crossbody box, and mud flaps.

The installation is to be completed by the contractor, who is responsible for all labor and parts, with no assistance provided by the government. Transportation costs are split based on distance: for installation facilities more than 150 miles away, the awarded vendor pays and arranges transport, while for facilities less than 150 miles away, the Fort Niobrara NWR will handle and pay for transportation. The flatbed is intended for transporting heavy materials to remote work locations and towing gooseneck and bumper pull trailers. Delivery requires three days' prior notice to the technical point of contact, Robert Sellers, and all unloading is the responsibility of the delivery carrier.
