Specifications

ROAD AGGREGATE

PART 1: GENERAL

1.1 SUMMARY

A. Section Includes: This work shall consist of furnishing and delivering 2900 tons of crushed or screened gravel in accordance with these specifications.

PART 2: MATERIALS

2.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

A. Aggregate: Aggregate shall consist of hard, durable particles or fragments of stone or gravel crushed or screened to the size and of the quality requirements for crushed aggregate materials as specified.

2.2 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

A. Surface: The surface shall have a maximum size of 3/4-inch. Surface aggregates shall be uniformly graded from course to fine and shall be free of vegetable matter and clay balls.

B. BLM Staff will inspect the gravel at the delivery site.

PART 3: EXECUTION

3.1 REQUIREMENTS

A. Delivery: 2 Locations

* 45.05242, -108.95587. South of Belfry, Montana in the Elk Basin area off Silvertip Road. 1450 tons.

*45.14933, -109.05396. right off Hwy 308 for new parking area. 1450 Tons.

PART 4: MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT

4.1 METHODS OF MEASUREMENT

A. Method: The quantity to be paid for will be the number of tons of material furnished. Weighing of material shall be at Contractor's expense. A weight receipt for each load of material shall be furnished by the Contractor to the Government Contracting Officer or COR.

4.2 BASIS OF PAYMENT

A. General: The accepted quantities, determined as provided above, will be paid for at the contract unit price per unit of measurement for the pay items listed below that are shown in the bid schedule, which price and payment will be full compensation for furnishing and piling all materials, including all labor, equipment, tools, and incidentals necessary to complete the work prescribed in this section.
