25 Foot Vessel, outboard engine, and trailer – Maintenance Division

The desired purchase order will be for a 25-foot fiberglass boat to support daily maintenance operations. The vessel will be used strictly for operational purposes and not for recreation. Given the nature of the work and the marine environment, the vessel must be constructed to withstand frequent use, rough weather conditions, and extended days on the water while keeping pace with the park’s maintenance demands. A foam-filled center console hull design where the hull and deck are bonded around a foam core, making the boat unsinkable provides unmatched safety and peace of mind, especially in offshore conditions. Six eight-inch cleats will be needed, two at the stern, two amidships, and one on the bow none of which are retractable. The bow and stern eyes will need to be rated for heavy duty lifting of the vessel. The bow eye will also need to be upgraded for all towing applications.

There are additional options that are required to suit the needs of the work this vessel is purposed for. A minimum of 5-year limited hull warranty, Simrad 12" NSX Navigation Display or Garmin equivalent, LED Flood Lights, glove box and a VHF Radio (Simrad). A heavy-duty rubber rub rail running along the gunwales from the port side of the engine to the starboard side of the engine to protect from impact on docks, boats, and various other infrastructure. A minimum of 21” interior freeboard, Rubber vertical strakes will also be added at an angle (to shed water while under power) to protect from impact. A canvas T-top will be built with upright tubing no less than 2 3/8-inch outer diameter to prevent cracking of the structure in rough seas. A heavy-duty leaning post (can stand and lean against or sit) with lockable storage will be provided for console operation. A fuel tank (below top cap) will hold a minimum of 90 gallons. The vessel drafts no more than 15 inches and will need to be able to travel at a minimum of 45 mph at wide open throttle with a black Mercury 400 V10 AMS (DTS) Verado attached to a jack plate which shall also be included. An Engine Crash Rail w/ Removable Hoop, Spotlight, ACR Remote Control (200,000 CP) is needed. The vessel will need to carry a total of 12 occupants. Dual batteries and associated battery boxes along with two fire extinguishers will be installed. A swim platform, dive ladder and grab rail will be installed on the transom of the vessel along with a stainless-steel keel protector to protect the boat when in a beaching application. Electric Trim Tabs with Indicator will be installed. One aluminum dual axle trailer with Radial Tires with Galvanized Wheels, LED Lights with a Sealed Wiring Harness, Front & Rear Carpeted Bunk, Aluminum Brackets, Stainless Steel Fasteners, Marine Grade Heat Shrink Connector, Designated Ground for Lights, and Aluminum. Delivery of the vessel and trailer will be provided.
