2. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:

The contractor shall have no more than 30 calendar days to deliver Gravel and Culvert once the offeror receives the notice to proceed, with the only exceptions being unforeseen events beyond the contractor's control and/or delays that are caused by the National Park Service.

Additional Information:

Joe Branch is a small, remote tributary to the Clear Fork in the southern area of BISO. Joe Branch Road provides sole access to a day use area and the Joe Branch Loop Horse Drawn Wagon Trail. Joe Branch flows under Joe Branch Road, traveling through a large culvert. The existing culvert is too small to accommodate the volume of water displaced during high water events. It has subsequently failed and collapsed causing the road to be un-passable and introducing a potential hazard to the surrounding critical habitat. This project will serve to replace the dilapidated and failed culvert with a larger more substantially designed culvert. The surrounding area and roadbed will be re stabilized allowing access to the area and further protecting the critical habitat.

This requirements is for the purchase of various sized limestone aggregate and a 96’’ x 44’ CMP culvert. The limestone aggregate will be delivered to, and stockpiled at the Mt. Helen Trailhead and the culvert to Joe’s Branch Road in accordance to the above GPS coordinates and maps.

The COR will approve final site prior to delivery.
