About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey requirements for the Blackfeet Community Hospital. The vendor will be responsible for submitting monthly clinical inpatient discharge data, conducting interviews, and reporting to the national Quality Net website in compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines. The scope includes performing 100% data abstraction on monthly inpatient discharges, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and providing feedback to improve hospital services such as communication, cleanliness, and pain management.
The contract period is one year from the date of award, with four potential one-year option extensions running from 1/12/2026 to 1/11/2031. Failure to meet CMS requirements could result in a 2% annual reduction in Medicare reimbursement. The vendor must continuously monitor program communications, verify population and sampling submissions, and maintain ongoing compliance with CMS participation requirements. The monthly surveys will help the hospital implement changes, improve staff training, and enhance overall patient care quality.
