About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the Blackfeet Community Hospital (BCH) to update the Behavioral Health room and ER patient bathrooms to be ligature-free, in order to comply with Joint Commission requirements for patient safety.
The SOW outlines 10 specific tasks, including installing ligature-resistant fixtures, mirrors, light fixtures, toilets, and other equipment in the designated areas. The work is to be performed by the BCH Facilities Department, with delivery of materials required within 30 calendar days after receipt of order. There is no government-furnished equipment or information, and the work will take place solely at the BCH Emergency Room. This SOW is related to a pre-solicitation from the Department of Health and Human Services' Indian Health Service for "ER Ligature Resistant Equipment" to address the cited compliance issues and improve patient safety and care for those being treated for behavioral health conditions.
