STATEMENT OF WORK

Overview The Battle Mountain District Bureau of Land Management (BLM) seeks a tractor rental service contract for Fall/Winter FY2023 to accomplish rangeland work including mowing, disking, and drill seeding. The tractor will be used for the purpose of accomplishing program of work for hazardous fuel reduction, wildlife habitat restoration, and post-fire emergency stabilization and rehabilitation.

Specific Requirements:

1. Location: Battle Mountain BLM District Office 50 Bastian Rd.

Battle Mountain, Nevada 89820

2. Size: A 140 horsepower minimum engine, four-wheel drive (4WD) with a fully-enclosed cab with functioning environmental control including air conditioning and heating.

3. Timeframe: September 15, 2022 through May 9, 2023. Total use will include 8 months of use.

4. Capability: The tractor must be capable of pulling a large heavy duty flex-wing rotary cutter, a rough terrain agriculture disc, and a cart with up to three range drills which require PTO and hydraulics. Additional implement on tractor controls and installed by Rental Company prior to agency receiving equipment.

5. Delivery: If outside of 200 miles from Battle Mountain, Nevada, the tractor would need to be delivered and unloaded to the BLM District Office during normal business hours 0730-1630 Monday through Friday.
