About this file

This Project Manual details a carpet replacement project for the Morris Wetland Management District Headquarters Building basement. The project involves removing existing broadloom carpet and adhesive and replacing it with carpet tiles from Milliken, specifically the "Midnight Sparkle" product in Hunter Beige color. The carpet tiles are 39.4" x 39.4", 0.35 inches thick, with a 24 oz/square yard face weight, and feature Milliken's StainSmart technology and WearOn Nylon Type 6.6 yarn.

The project scope includes removing existing resilient base and transitions, reinstalling existing wood base, and preparing the concrete subfloor through moisture and alkalinity testing. Contractors must follow detailed preparation requirements, including cleaning the substrate, addressing any moisture or pH issues, and ensuring a smooth surface for installation. The project will be performed on a firm fixed price lump sum basis, with the contractor responsible for all aspects of the installation, including project management, cleanup, and debris removal.
