Uvalde National Fish Hatchery
Statement of Work
1. Project Overview Title: Replace HVAC Unit
Location: Uvalde National Fish Hatchery, 754 County Rd. 203, Uvalde, TX 78801
Asset Details: Existing unit to be replaced Carrier Model No. 50VR-A48-30TP
2. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required for the complete replacement of the specified HVAC unit. The scope includes:
• Recovery and disposal of refrigerants.
• Demolition: Safe decommissioning and removal of the existing HVAC unit and associated components.
• Removal: Transportation and disposal of obsolete equipment in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Installation: Delivery, placement, and installation of the new HVAC unit per manufacturer specifications.
• Controls Integration: Connection to existing or upgraded building automation systems; calibration and programming as required.
• Commissioning: System startup, functional testing, and performance verification.
• Closeout: Final inspections, documentation, and owner training.
3. Performance Requirements
• Capacity: Meets or exceeds required tonnage for designated area.
• Efficiency: Minimum SEER/EER/IEER ratings per current energy standards.
• Heating/Cooling: Reliable year-round thermal comfort.
• Electrical: Compliance with facility voltage, amperage, and grounding requirements.
• Structural: Unit mounting and supports designed for local building loads requirements.
4. Codes, Standards & Permits All work shall conform to applicable federal, state, and local codes, including but not limited to: International Mechanical Code (IMC), National Electrical Code (NEC), ASHRAE standards, EPA regulations, and local permitting requirements. Contractor is responsible for obtaining and closing all permits (if applicable).
5. Submittals

6. Safety & Site Requirements
• Adherence to facility safety protocols and OSHA standards

7. Environmental & Waste Management
• Recovery and disposal of refrigerants in compliance with EPA guidelines

8. Schedule & Coordination
• Baseline project duration: 60 days
• Key milestones: kickoff, demolition, installation, commissioning, closeout
