About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for replacing road closure gates at Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania. The project involves removing deteriorated wooden gates and installing new metal gates at four specific locations: East Confederate Ave, South Confederate Ave, Ayers Ave, and Colgrove Ave. The new gates will replicate previously installed metal gates on Sykes and Wright Avenues, with lengths adjusted to match individual roadway widths.
Key contractor responsibilities include utility detection, notifying the park 48 hours before excavation, working with an archeological monitor during digging, leveling and seeding disturbed areas, and disposing of old gates and excess materials. The gates must comply with National Park Service standards, including opening only in the downstream direction and being reflectorized on both sides. The contractor will provide a 12-month warranty on materials and workmanship from the date of project completion.
