WIND CRITERIA.

Main Wind Force Resisting System V = 98 MPH Basic Design Wind Speed (3-Second Gust).

Components and Cladding.

V = 98 MPH Basic Design Wind Speed (3-Second Gust).

Exposure Category B.

Gust / Internal Pressure (GCpi = +/-0.18).

SEISMIC CRITERIA.

Risk Category II.

Seismic Design Category D.

Site Class D.

Importance Factor (IE = 1.0).

MCE Spectral Acceleration. Refer to Construction Drawings (separate attachment) for Maximum Considered Earthquake Spectral Acceleration.

Site Coefficient. Refer to Construction Drawings (separate attachment) for site coefficients.

Design Spectral Acceleration. Refer to Construction Drawings (separate attachment) for Design Spectral Acceleration.

Analysis Procedure. Equivalent Lateral Force per ASCE 7-16, Section 12.8.

DEFLECTION CRITERA – BRIDGE KITS.

Deflection Criteria for the Bridge Kits shall be limited to L / 800, where L is the Span Length in inches.

Bridge Camber is acceptable to offset deflections, but bridge slope shall not exceed ABA-ADA requirements.

DEFLECTION CRITERA – DECKING / GRATING.

Deflection Criteria for the Decking / Grating shall be limited to L / 360, where L is the Span Length in inches, or as determined by the Manufacturer’s Proprietary Calculations and Deflection Limit Criteria, whichever Deflection Criteria is more restrictive for the product application. Cut ends of decking materials must be sealed.

BRIDGE DIMENSIONS.

Bridge No. 1, Minimum Span Length = 30 Feet.

Bridge No. 2, Minimum Span Length = 35 Feet.

Bridge No. 1 and 2, Structure Clear Width (Measured from Interior Face of Guardrail Assembly to Interior Face of Guardrail Assembly) = 5 Feet.

Each bridge will include the following features:

54” High Guard Rails.

No greater than 4” clear spacing between Guard Rail Assembly Elements.

Kick Plates at base of Guard Rails.

Refer to Guardrail Safety Design Checklist for minimum specific requirements for guardrail design.

FRP Pultruded Decking with High Traction Grit or FRP Pultruded Grating with High Traction Grit = 465 Feet in Length by ~5 Feet in Width. Specifications as per the Salient Characteristics as noted above.

(Total decking/grating for both bridges (65 Feet) and additional for boardwalks (400 Feet) = 465 Feet in Length by ~5 Feet in Width).
