About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details design services for a boardwalk purchase at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, Project 23-001D. The contract requires supplying precast concrete decking with specific technical requirements, including helical pier installation, minimum 9-PSF uniform loading capacity, 4,000 PSI compressive strength, textured surface, and a ten-year warranty. Additional requirements include 316 stainless steel integral railing with two four-foot lockable gates, and a complete LumenPod 16 lighting system that is night sky compliant, LED-based, with specific technical specifications like 24V power requirement, -40°C to +60°C temperature range, and IP54 outdoor rating.

The SOW outlines comprehensive submittal requirements, including detailed plan submissions for connections, railing, brackets, reinforcements, lighting, decking, and other components. Contractors must provide physical samples and documentation, with alternatives to specified materials requiring a detailed written comparison. The government will review submittals within 14 days, with the option to request seven-day extensions if needed. Delivery of materials will be to the employee parking lot area east of the building, with the supplier responsible for identifying heavy equipment weights and preferred lifting solutions.
