About this file
This is a Statement of Requirements/Specifications document supporting a Sources Sought notice for the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) seeking a large format latex printer/cutter system. The Government is conducting market research to identify domestically sourced manufacturers or contractors capable of supplying a 64-inch large format latex print/cut machine with white latex capability, along with a comprehensive domestically sourced support package. The equipment is required for the USDA ARS National Centers for Animal Health (NCAH) Visual Services located at 1920 Dayton Avenue, Ames, Iowa 50010. This is a pre-solicitation market research effort, not a binding commitment or solicitation announcement, and no award will result from responses submitted.
The anticipated full solicitation release is scheduled for July 13, 2026, with equipment delivery expected within thirty days after contract award. Respondents should note that the Government will not provide notification of market research results, will not award contracts based on this Sources Sought response, and will not reimburse preparation costs. Following analysis of responses, the Government will determine whether to proceed with an unrestricted solicitation allowing full and open competition. Interested domestic manufacturers and contractors should be prepared to demonstrate experience and capability in providing large format latex printing equipment with integrated cutting functionality and associated maintenance and support services.
