About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) is for chemical treatment of noxious and invasive weeds across four recreation shooting sports sites in southwest Arizona, totaling approximately 117 acres. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) seeks a contractor to perform foliar spot treatment of invasive vegetation including Wild mustard, Black mustard, Stinknet, Buffelgrass, Saharan mustard, and Johnsongrass using backpack sprayers, handheld spray bottles, and tanked UTVs with hand wands.

Key performance details include work to be conducted exclusively on Wednesdays while sites are closed for maintenance, with a completion deadline of January 30, 2026. The BLM will provide GPS-referenced maps, a 500-gallon water source, and approved herbicide list. Contractor responsibilities include furnishing all equipment, personnel protective equipment (high-visibility clothing, chemical-resistance gloves, eye protection), fire suppression tools, and vehicles. Measurement and payment will be based on GPS-surveyed acres treated, with potential re-measurement if initial acreage differs by more than 5%. A pre-work conference will be held to review project specifications, and contractors are encouraged to conduct a site tour prior to bidding.
