Statement of Work Bureau of Land Management

Royal Gorge Field Office

Background

The BLM Royal Gorge Field Office needs new information kiosks for placement at 10 different recreation sites throughout Fremont County, Colorado. There are two different sizes of kiosks, standard and small that will be placed at these sites. The fabrication and installation of the kiosks shall be phased over a three-year period to keep pace with the in-house design of the kiosk content. The kiosks must match kiosks that have already been installed to maintain the field office brand and “look and feel”.

Statement of Work

Fabrication

The kiosks shall be constructed of steel construction with the digital prints panel on aluminum per the specifications provided. The entire kiosk shall be sand blasted and rusted steel finished.

The Standard Kiosk is approximately 97.18” tall with an interior panel width of 78”.

The standard kiosks include the site name welded to the top cut out of ¼” plate steel. See

Attachment 1 Standard Kiosk Specifications for additional measurements and to serve as an example.

The Small Kiosk is approximately 97.18” tall with an interior panel width of 55.31”. The small kiosk does not include a site name welded on top. See Attachment 2 Small Kiosk

Specifications for additional measurements and to serve as an example.

Removal and Disposal

For many of the sites these newly fabricated kiosks will be replacing an existing kiosk.

Where a kiosk exists the BLM requires the old kiosk to be removed and properly disposed of. Photos of the existing kiosks are provided for each site in Attachment 5.

Installation

The kiosks shall be delivered and installed at the individual referenced recreation sites. A map (Attachment 3) and Google Earth kml file (Attachment 4) has been provided for the installation locations along with a photo of each site (Attachment 5). It is up to the contractor to be familiar with the site including road and soil conditions. The kiosks must be installed level, 3’ deep and reinforced with concrete for each of the holes. It is up to the contractor to determine the most appropriate method and equipment for installation.

Prior to installation the final location and orientation of the kiosk must be verified by

BLM staff. Following installation any disturbed areas must be graded and smoothed.

Phasing

In order to keep pace with development of the information that will go into the kiosk the panels shall be fabricated and installed according to the following phasing and in this particular order.
