STATEMENT OF WORK
Spring Creek National Fish Hatchery Incubation Building Window Replacement
61552 State Road 14 in Underwood, WA 9865
1. General:
1.1 The nursery (Incubation room) building for Spring Creek National Fish Hatchery has several windows that have been boarded up from the inside for several years due to old procedures that no longer exist. Remove and replace eight windows for the incubation building.
1.2 Purpose/End Application: Windows for the incubation building need to be updated to enhance the visibility inside the facility, increase the airflow by opening the new windows, and this will also provide a facelift to the facility from eliminating the current boarded up fragile windows.
1.3 Contractor Qualifications: Work should be performed professionally in accordance with standard practices and provide warranty on workmanship.
1.4 Other: Include, a relevant statutory authority, regulations, and/or references, pertinent background materials, or other relevant info. For extended information, reference an attachment or digital reference is recommended.
2. Place of Performance and Period of Performance
2.1 Spring Creek NFH, 61552 State Road 14 in Underwood, WA 9865.
2.2 Work shall be begin within ten (10) calendar days from award and be completed no later than August 07,2023. The facility is not being used during that time frame. After the date stated above the facility will be prepared for the spawning and incubation season; then the incubation building will operate non-stop until January 2024. Once the Incubation room starts operating, we must maintain the room climate controlled, no dust from construction or is allowed while the room is in operation.
2.3 Normal duty hours Monday thru Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. In the event of emergencies, Contractor shall provide contact information.
2.4 Non-duty hours include week nights, weekends, and Government holidays (New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King JR.s’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day).
3. Scope
3.1 Eight of the current boarded windows need to be removed and replaced with new windows.
The eight windows have been purchased by the hatchery and are located at the site; dimension and details of the windows will be provided. The new windows have a nail flange which might be useful to secure the window as they are being installed. The new windows have been purchased a few inches smaller than the current wall opening for ease of mounting. Performing a site visit is required to obtain the correct measurements of the wall opening where each window will mount. If a frame is to be built around the opening to mount the windows, we request its water and moisture resistant. Provided a good quality caulking around the windows and frames (exterior and interior). Remove all debris from jobsite.
6. Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) / Government-Furnished Information
(GFI)
6.1 Eight windows will be provided by the hatchery. Additional attachment will be provided with the window dimension sand details.
7. Evaluation and Acceptance
7.1 The contractor will be evaluated as detailed herein. Government acceptance is contingent upon the Hatchery manager or the COR.
8. Quality Control/Quality Assurance:
8.1 For commercial supplies reference clauses for inspection and acceptance. Where appropriate, QC will be maintained according to industry standards and made available to the agency with the contractor’s proposal.
8.2 Identify and detail measures for assessing quality control and acceptance; each requirement is unique and a table format is visually friendly and may be desirable.
