About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for window and water damage repair at the Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Southeast Region.
The project involves repairing and replacing 19 windows and surrounding materials on the north side of the visitor center building located at 7200 Crane Lane, Gautier, MS 39553. The contractor must perform three mandatory base tasks (Tasks 1-3) and provide pricing for seven optional tasks (Task Options 4-10) that may be exercised at the government's discretion based on funding availability. Tasks 1-3 prioritize removal of storm shutters and repair of water and termite damage affecting specific window groups: Room B (windows 2, 3, 4), Room G (windows 10, 11, 12), and Room I (windows 14, 15, 16 with extensive termite damage to a 25'6" x 12' drywall section). Task Options 4-10 address remaining windows in Rooms A, C, D, E, F, H, and J, involving window removal and replacement only if no damage is discovered. All replacement windows must be energy-efficient, bird-safe units compliant with ASTM E2190, ASTM E774, and Energy Star criteria for the Southern Climate Zone. The period of performance is six months from award. The contractor must furnish all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, project mobilization/demobilization, quality control, and waste removal. The government provides toilet facilities, electricity, water, and primer/paint during normal working hours. The contractor must submit a line item quote for all 10 tasks and task options, with contract awards prioritizing water and termite damage first based on available funding.
