Mesquite SEAT Base Portable Toilets/Handwash Station
Mesquite Municipal Airport: SEAT Base
1200 Kitty Hawk Dr. Mesquite, NV 89027
Purpose and Need: The Mesquite SEAT Base requires varied levels of staffing throughout the fire season, based on wildland fire response needs and locations. These staffing levels may change from hour to hour depending how many aircraft are utilizing the base to support fires in the area. Staffing numbers quickly exceed capacity of the facility bathroom, so portable toilets and sinks are required to meet the need. The BLM is looking for a portable toilet and handwash station company that can setup onsite at the SEAT Base. The number of handwash stations and portable toilets will range from 2 to 6 units depending on the staffing level. The dates needed will be from Wednesday 15 May 2024 until the base closes, which could be mid-August or the end of October depending on the weather and fire season conditions. Total estimated period of performance from 15 May – 01 October 2024 for a total of 20 weeks of service. The BLM at minimum will require 2 portable toilets and 1 handwash station throughout the specified period of performance. The BLM needs the ability to add or takeaway handwash stations and portable toilets as staffing numbers change, and the vendor will be given 24-hour notice for these changes. Pumping service is requested minimum once per week per unit. In the event of high fire activity, additional BLM and contract personnel may be working on-site, requiring servicing up to three times per week at the request of the BLM.
Staking down of units will be required because the units are being placed around aircraft.
Specific Requirements:
• 2 to 6 portable toilets available
• 1 portable toilets must be handicap accessible
• 1 to 3 handwash stations available
• Pumping service during timeframe of need, minimum of once per week. Up to 3x weekly visits if high staffing levels require additional servicing.
• Handwash station service during timeframe of need.
• Sanitary paper supplied by vendor.
• Soap and paper towels for handwash station provided by vendor.
• Toilet units must be staked down or secured to prevent movement or tipping in wind or from aircraft propellor blast.
