STATEMENT OF WORK

Replace Metal Roof Panels

Bears Bluff National Fish Hatchery Wadmalaw Island, SC 29487

Remove/Replace Metal Roof Panels – Fish Holding House (Asset #50000020076) Replace damaged roof and supporting structure on the Main Pole Shed section of fish holding building as outlined below. Building consists of two parts, the original pole shed structure (Main Pole Shed) and an add on lean-to structure (lean-to shed). Rough outside dimensions of the entire building are 70-ft x 80-ft, with the Main Pole Shed measuring approximately 70-ft x 45-ft.

Measurements are approximate.

*Contractor is responsible for taking any measurements required to develop an accurate bid. All measurements in this SOW are approximate and must be verified by contractor.

Services requested:

• Remove existing 5V metal roofing system from Main Pole Shed, except for approximately 10-ft of new master rib panels recently installed on one side of the building. Install new metal master rib panels to match the existing metal master rib panels (single sheet runs length from peak to edge). Install new transition flashing where needed.

• Include in estimate cost of replacement for approximately 10% of 1-in x 4-in treated battens, as needed (i.e., estimate will include total cost for replacing 10% battens, not a price/ft of boards). If additional battens or other lumber is needed, the hatchery will furnish this lumber if determined to be necessary.

• All stainless fasteners.

• Contractor is responsible for clean-up and removal of all trash/debris associated with this project.

• Site visit is strongly recommended prior to submission of bid. Ask all questions prior to bidding. Once the contract is awarded, any information obtained, raised, or discovered after award is the responsibility of the contractor at no extra cost to the government.

Rough dimensions of roofline, southeast side of building.

Rough dimensions of roofline, northeast side of building. Note that area of roof designated with a red “X” does not need to be removed and replaced but does need to be integrated with new roof.
