Scope of Work for Cubicle Reconfiguration
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service – Midwest Region Regional Office
1. General
• Project consists of the reconfiguration of 5 cubical workstations of atypical setup to standard 8x8 cubes with full height walls. Work is located in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service –
Midwest Region Regional Office in Bloomington, MN. Work would involve moving pieces for stockpile of parts and vacant cubes on the 9th floor to the desired cubes on the 10th floor.
• Agency has all parts needed. Contractor would supply labor and knowledge of cubicle wall systems to dismantle typical cubes and reconfigure using parts located in the office in designated areas.
• When finished the 5 cubes would match the setup of all other adjacent cubes.
• Address of office:
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, NWRS
5600 American Boulevard West, Suite 990
Bloomington, MN 55437
2. The five cubes are comprised of a system of Steelcase components currently. Three are set up as administrative cubes with walk-up “transaction” counters. These would be converted to full wall (66H) cubes for the same privacy as the adjacent cubes.
3. The additional two spaces are joined as one large space. The common walls with skylight top panels (66H) would be built between them and other surfaces, cabinets, drawers and related pieces would be added to make them identical to adjacent cubes.
4. All cubes needing work are in 3 adjacent rows.
5. All needed pieces are on-site and available in one of two locations. First is a stockpile of pieces near the 10th floor “atrium” space. The remaining components would come from vacant cubes on the 9th floor. The Service will identify those cubes before the work begins.
6. Work needs to take place on a week day during normal business hours due to security and access issues unless the Service and contractor agree to irregular work hours before the work begins.
7. Contractor would need to clean up all cubes of unused items and debris.
8. The Service will remain any unused or dismantled parts.
