About this file

This Statement of Work details septic tank pumping services required at Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in Lima, Montana for the Department of Interior Fish and Wildlife Service. The work involves pumping eight tanks total: two residential septic tanks (Bunkhouse Q287 and Quarters 94), two operational facility septic tanks (Headquarters/Visitor Center and Maintenance Shop), and four vault toilet tanks located at Upper Campground, Lower Campground, and headquarters compound.

The period of performance is between May and September 2025, with each tank estimated to contain 1000 gallons of effluent due to no servicing since October 2023. The contractor must locate tanks, perform minor excavation if needed, pump tanks, and properly dispose of effluent off-site. The vault toilets require additional services including pressure washing of risers and walls, removal of remaining effluent, and recharging with 150 gallons of clean freshwater. All tanks are road accessible and work must be coordinated with the Facility Manager to ensure appropriate weather and road conditions. These tanks represent the remaining locations not serviced in November 2024.
