The windows will be aluminum-clad wood or fiberglass with double-paned insulated glass, Low-E coating, and must meet ENERGY STAR standards for the Northern Climate Zone.
The project requires cutting new openings in the existing exterior brick wall, installing structural headers and framing, and ensuring proper weatherproofing and integration with the building's aesthetics. Key deliverables include window installation, manufacturer documentation, and a final inspection. The work is estimated to take 2-3 weeks, with specific hours to be coordinated with NPS facility management. The project is governed by OSHA regulations, building codes, NPS design standards, and DOI sustainability goals, with the primary contact being Kody Hill, NPS Facility Project Manager.
