BLM Colorado

Rocky Mountain District

San Luis Valley Field Office

Landscape Architecture-Graphic Arts BPA

Statement of Work (v1) December 1, 2022

I. General:

The Bureau of Land Management – San Luis Valley Field Office (SLVFO), has a need for continued development of interpretive signs and site designs consistent with other completed projects on the Field Office using the same contractor.

Numerous other projects are planned for the future as funding becomes available or other considerations or requirements are satisfied, such as NEPA compliance.

Using the same vendor to supply the same types of products ensures consistency of infrastructure and product appearance, or a ‘family of architecture’ (a stated goal of BLM’s Built Environment Image Guide). Acquisition of these services is, therefore, required as a Blanket Purchase Agreement.

II. Description of Work:

This Statement of Work is for the development of original Landscape Architecture and/or Graphic Arts materials and products, created primarily for the benefit of the BLM-San Luis Valley Field Office’s Recreation and Visitor Services program.

The Government requires numerous original interpretive signs and associated site designs for Engineering Field Office, Recreation and Visitor Services (and for other planning and implementation purposes), at numerous locations within the

Field Office area of operations. This BPA will provide consistency and reduce administrative burden to contracting officials in anticipation of numerous planned projects in the years ahead. Project costs vary considerably, though nearly all are above the micro-purchase limit of $2,500 for services. For example, the current

‘Lobatos Bridge Recreation and Interpretive Education Site Project’ (Call #1) will require services ranging in cost from ~$5,000-$10,000.

The same style of artwork and site amenities at numerous locations and for other

Field Office projects, including Interpretive and Education sites; Field Office

SRMA’s; Field Office campgrounds; numerous trailheads; parking areas and other access points to BLM lands in the San Luis Valley; the Los Caminos Antiguos

Scenic and Historic Byway interpretive sites; Old Spanish National Historic Trail interpretive sites; regulatory, interpretive, and informational signs and brochures.

• Specifications and Drawings

• Other information to complete the Designs.

Contractor Furnished Items:

• All Concepts, Designs, Proofs, Original Artwork, or other Products associated with any Landscape Architectural and/or Graphic Arts project funded, or ordered, by BLM-San Luis Valley Field Office.
