[TYPE HERE] STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
Introduction The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Alaska Fire Service (AFS) is soliciting proposals to remove and replace the Jockey Pump Controller on an existing fire suppression system in Building 1544 on Ft. Wainwright.
The current inoperable controller: Model M300-50-460B; Serial Number EE-84796; Voltage 460; H.P. 50 Phase must be removed and replaced with a new Metron MP300 Controller or equivalent that meets all NFPA requirements. Controller must be sized, designed, and compatible with the existing fire pump in order to return it to proper operation and functional with the existing Fire Panel. System shall be properly fabricated, tested, and operational at conclusion of project meeting all NFPA requirements.

General Requirements The Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, tools and supervision as needed to complete the services that meet the technical requirements in this Statement of Work (SOW).
The Contractor shall be regularly employed in the business of installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of water-based fire protection systems and fire alarm systems. The Contractor shall be a well-established business that has been in existence a minimum of five (5) years.
The work shall be executed in a diligent manner in accordance with a negotiated firm fixed price and performance period. The performance period for the project shall be completed in 90 days from the Notice-to-Proceed.
Administration The Contractor shall not conduct any work that is beyond this Statement of Work and accompanying specifications unless directed in writing by the Contracting Officer (CO). Any work done by the Contractor beyond this SOW and accompanying specifications without direction from the CO will be at the contractors own risk and at no additional cost to AFS.
The Contracting Officer shall provide a Notice to Proceed (NTP) to the Contractor. No work shall be initiated until the NTP is issued by the CO.
Responsibility of the Contractor The Contractor shall be responsible for the professional quality, technical accuracy, and the coordination of all services furnished under this Statement of Work. The Contractor shall, without additional compensation, correct or revise any errors or deficiencies in its services.
The Contractor shall verify that all materials installed provide an operational, dependable system that will operate as designed, meet all NFPA requirements, be easily maintained or replaced with readily available materials and services. Contractor shall provide any startup or certification required by new Controller Manufacture.
Work Requirements The contractor shall be responsible for all required materials, equipment and personnel to manage, administer and supervise the project. All workmanship shall be of good quality and performed in a skillful manner as determined by the COR.
Inoperable controller (M300-50-460B) must be removed and disposed of.
New controller to be installed in old controller location. New unit installation must meet all applicable codes, operate pump in the manner of which it is designed to operate, of quality craftsmanship, properly tested, inspection and startup certification by Manufacture/Factory Representative if required.
All materials and equipment incorporated into the project shall be new unless otherwise noted. The Contractor shall transport and safeguard all materials including debris and equipment required for the work.
Period of Performance After award, the contractor shall complete all work within 90 days.
Warranty All materials and workmanship must be covered by the standard manufacture warranty of no less than one year from the installation acceptance date.
