Location of Club Car:
USFWS, San Marcos Aquatic Resources Center 500 E McCarty Lane, San Marcos, TX 78666
Scope:
For the battery conversion for a Club Car CA550 48V (PIN: A5CUBB2ATLA040918; S/N: MM2003-040918) to increase power, milage and reduce maintenance costs. Lithium batteries (LB) are more robust than traditional lead acid batteries (LAB). They also have a longer operating lifespan, and their performance is not degraded by high operating temperatures. LBs are individually sealed so there’s no risk of leakage or venting of residual gasses.
The requirement is to remove the current eight battery configuration, charging unit and associated equipment and replace it with Lithium battery pack, converter unit, charger, gauge kit, mounting plates and install brackets and conduct an operational test. Vendor will provide San Marcos Aquatic Resources Center with required orientation and training as to how to maintain new battery pack.
NOTE ** The cost to transport the club car to/from a battery conversion facility more than 60 miles will be at the cost of the awarded vendor and arranged by the awardee. The cost to transport the club carto/from a battery conversion facility less than 60 miles will be at the cost of the San Marcos Aquatic Resources Center and arranged by the San Marcos Aquatic Resources Center.
