About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details vault pumping services for six locations within Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in Utah and Arizona. The contract requires a contractor to provide quarterly vault toilet pumping services at sites including Condor Viewing Site, Stateline Campground, Wire Pass Trailhead, Buckskin Trailhead, Whitehouse Campground, and Paria Townsite. Key service requirements include pumping vaults according to a specific seasonal schedule, adding biodegradable enzymes and water after each pump-out, properly disposing of sewage at licensed facilities, and documenting work with date-stamped photos.
The contract is for one year with options to renew for two additional one-year periods, issued by the Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management Arizona Region. The solicitation (140L6425Q0023) covers pump-out services across multiple sites with varying frequencies - some locations require pumping during summer months, others during multiple seasonal periods. Contractors must use high-clearance vehicles, navigate unpaved roads, and comply with specific performance standards, including complete vault pumping, odor elimination, and proper vault lid security. Invoicing will occur quarterly, with potential financial penalties for non-compliance with specified service standards.
