About this file

This Request for Information (RFI) from the Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) seeks information about vendors capable of providing SKC Chek-Mate Flowmeter (part number 375-0550NK) for calibrating air flow sample pumps. MSHA requires these flowmeters for essential calibration and flow audits at approximately 10,000 metal/nonmetal mines across the United States and its territories.

The requirement includes delivery to 11 different MSHA locations, with quantities ranging from 2 to 80 units per location, totaling 169 flowmeters. The devices must operate within specific parameters including flow measurement ranges of 20-500 ml/min and 500-5000 ml/min, with accuracy between 1-2.5% depending on flow rate. Responses are due by January 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM ET and must include a one-page cover letter with CAGE code and DUNS number, a five-page technical response, and a one-page past performance summary. Delivery is required within 30 days after receipt of order. The NAICS code is 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing).
