This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the Gymnasticator Upgrades Project at Rock Island Arsenal-Joint Manufacturing & Technology Center (RIA-JMTC). The project involves modernizing control systems for two MG3000 Mechanical Gymnasticators (RIA#34691 and RIA#34696) to provide real-time test data, positional results, and pass/fail outcomes for multiple weapons systems including M1A1, M178/M182, M119, M119A3, M109, and M35. The scope includes installing new control components such as CompactLogix PLC, PanelView Plus Operator Interface, Temposonics sensors, variable frequency drives, and hydraulic systems, along with comprehensive on-site training for RIA-JMTC personnel.

The contractor will be responsible for completely upgrading both gymnasticators, with specific requirements for each machine, including removing and relocating existing components, installing new hardware and software, setting up server communications, and creating test programs for various weapon systems. The project mandates a minimum pull force of 36,000 lbs, a minimum recoil compression of 36 inches, and specific compression rates. The work will be performed at Rock Island Arsenal during normal business hours (0600-1630 Monday-Friday), with potential for approved overtime, and must comply with all safety, environmental, and security regulations specific to the Army installation.
