About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the replacement of fire suppression systems on two aircraft de-icing trucks for the Minnesota Air National Guard.
The SOW details the requirement to replace the existing ANSUL fire extinguishing systems in the two trucks, which can no longer be recertified, with new fire suppression systems that must comply with NFPA 1901 standards. The trucks are a 2000 Navistar International and a 2008 Freightliner, both manufactured by Global Ground Support. The new fire suppression systems must have specific capabilities outlined in the SOW, including wet agent tanks, a control monitor, multiple nozzles, temperature range, detection and alarm functions, and intuitive operation. The systems require a minimum 1-year warranty.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to provide the required fire suppression systems, with quotes due by September 20, 2024. The contract will be awarded on a best value basis, evaluating factors such as price, technical acceptability, equipment capabilities, delivery time, and past performance. The opportunity is set-aside for small businesses under NAICS code 334290, with the Contracting Officer reserving the right to use a different NAICS if appropriate.
