Scope of Work – HUSK Trqansparent Armor Dated: 05 March 2019 REV 1
Background:
The HUSK cab is part of a HET transportation vehicle used by the US Army. There is a requirement to manufacture frames and Transparent Armor then and pot the TA into the frames. Transparent armor is a clear material that is designed and tested to provide protection against impact, ballistic and blast threats. Potting is a process of filling a gap between a frame and the transparent armor. Drawings 12638671, 12638842, and 12638870 show or reference all information to complete the assemblies.
General Contractor Requirements:
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and supplies required to produce the transparent armor and final assemblies. Using the drawings as instructions (12638671, 12638842, and 12638870), the transparent armor will be potted to interface with the frames. After potting, each assembly will be completely assembled. The contractor will deliver as the final assembly.
Quality requirements:
Transparent armor shall be provided per spec ATPD 2352T. All Certified Test Reports (CTR) and Certificate of Conformance (COC) are to be delivered with each shipment.
Transportation Requirements for the First article Test (FAT):
The contractor shall be responsible for shipping three each of the finished assemblies in their vendor-supplied shipping containers to RIA-JMTC once the assemblies are complete.
Transportation Requirements for production:
The contractor shall be responsible for shipping of each assembly in their vendor-supplied shipping containers to RIA-JMTC once the assemblies are complete.
Environmental:
The contractor must follow all applicable environmental, local, state, and federal environmental laws/regulations.
Schedule:
The contractor has 45 business days to complete the first article assemblies after the first order is placed. The 45 days includes shipment to the Government at RIA-JMTC.
Production schedule:
The contractor will deliver at a minimum: 24 of each assembly 12638671, and 12 of rach assembly 12638842, and 12638870 to the Government at RIA-JMTC beginning July 2020. FOB: Destination
