Applicability. This document applies to the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP).

Suggested Improvements. The proponent of this document is the Chief of Quality Assurance Test Division. Comments and suggestions can be submitted to JMMC-QA.

Distribution. The current edition of this document will be maintained on the MCAAP SharePoint Intranet. Individual copies may be printed from that source as required.

Refer to MCAAPP 25-201 for document control requirements.

1. Purpose. To provide detailed listing and requirements of qualified chemicals used in load/assemble/pack operations.

2. Responsibility. Chief, Quality Assurance Test Division is responsible for ensuring stated purpose is accomplished.

3. Scope. All personnel requesting and/or procuring chemicals listed herein.

4. Procedures.

a. Requirements for Qualified Chemicals.

(1) Stated in the material specification and/or the ammunition load document.

(2) Contractual obligation with customer as in the First Article Acceptance of the end item.

b. Certificate of Conformance and Analysis.

(1) Required for every qualified chemical.

(2) Must state clearly which specification it conforms and include any applicable exceptions listed herein.

(3) Only stating that the material meets the purchase order is not sufficient.

(4) Information required on Certificate of Conformance and Analysis includes:

(a) Manufacturer Name (Materials are qualified by manufacturer not distributor)

(b) Product Name or Description

(c) National Stock Number (If available)

(d) Specification

(e) Lot/Batch Number

(f) Manufacture Date

(g) Expiration/Re-inspection Date

(h) Analytical Data

(i) Statement of No Change in Materials or Process Quality Chemicals designated in Appendix A with “Statement of No Change in Materials or Process” must so state on the certificate.
