PURCHASE DESSRIPTION
TITLE: ASTREE Electronic Tongue Liquid & Taste Analyzer.
Background. The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Chemical Biological Center (CBC), CSAC requires Electronic Tongue Liquid & Taste Analyzer to perform Chemical threats analysis. This instrument is essential to utilize in various settings that will provide accurate taste data that addresses the requirement for the CSAC mission.
1. Objective: This contract is for the purchase of estimated quantity (1) ASTREE Electronic Tongue Liquid & Taste Analyzer.
2. Test Instrument Performance: Instrument was shown no performance issues or problems identified. The system uses re-usable labware instead of disposable increasing its cost efficiency status. The system is supported by high technical skills personnel located locally and with multiple offices and employs Americans.
3. This Purchase should cover the following:
ASTREE with 48-position autosampler - Qwerty PC - Start-up and maintenance kits
ASTREE Electronic Tongue V5 unit
LS48 Liquid Autosampler unit
Start-up kit ASTREE LS48 (sensor array 6)
Maintenance kit ASTREE V5 (sensor array 6)
AlphaSoft current version for ASTREE E-tongue
Desktop computer (qwerty) with Alphasoft installed

1 This contract is unclassified and does not contain security requirements or a Contract Security Classification Specification, DD Form 254. However, the Government may require Operations Security (OPSEC) measures (when applicable) to protect sensitive unclassified contract information. If access to unclassified sensitive information (For Official Use Only - FOUO) is authorized, the contractor may access only the information related to the subject matter of this contract.
3 If the contractor believes this effort is strictly for fundamental research, the contractor shall request a waiver from this requirement from the Contracting Officer.
4 The contractor shall ensure that foreign nationals approved for support of this effort will not have access to military technical or critical unclassified information. (The contractor shall conduct a search through the Defense Technical Information Center to determine whether information is designated as military technical or critical unclassified information.

5 Should the government determine that the technology has developed to a point where the information warrants protection, a DD Form 254 and an approved classification guide will be issued.
6 The contractor shall report a violation of administrative security procedures or export control regulations that would subject critical unclassified information to possible compromise by foreign visitors or foreign national employees shall immediately be reported to the cognizant facility security office and Contracting Officer.
