About this file

This document is a Minimal Essential Characteristics (MEC) specification for the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID). The Facilities Management Office is requesting two Aerosol Photometers with specific technical requirements, including precise dimensional constraints (max 33 cm x 25.7 cm x 15.2 cm), weight limitations (max 8.6 kg), electrical specifications (100-250V AC), and comprehensive performance standards. The photometers must meet rigorous technical specifications such as automatic zero reading, selectable alarm types, precise flow control (1 cfm +/- 10%), and compatibility with multiple reagent settings.

The equipment must adhere to multiple industry standards including ISO 14644-3, NSF-49, and various electrical safety certifications (CE, EN 61010-1:2010). The system requires specific technical performance capabilities, including a dynamic range from 0.0001 mg/m3 to 120 mg/m3, 1% reading accuracy, and 0.5% repeatability. Delivery is specified for the USAMRIID facility at 1425 Porter Street, Fort Detrick, MD 21702, with the delivery coordination details to be determined. The opportunity is currently in a pre-solicitation phase under the Defense Health Agency, with the solicitation number HT9426-26-RFI-0001.
