About this file

This document is a Justification and Approval for Sole Source and Brand Name Justification for Simplified Acquisitions under FAR Part 13. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) requires a Metal XL 3D Scanner and Thermal Camera system from MX3D for ongoing military engineering additive research. The total estimated value is controlled. MX3D is the sole source provider as their proprietary software is required to integrate with the existing hardware. A notice of intent to sole source will be posted on SAM.gov, but this will be a sole source award to MX3D. All shipping, travel, and other charges must be included in the quote, and all parts must be delivered within 90 days of contract award.
