Control No: 21-046 Supply: 120mm Tank Training Ammunition and
M1002 Ammunition Container Refurbishment Dollar Value:
Contract: W52P1J-08-C-0011 Contractor: OATK Award Date: 21 Feb 2008 Competitive Status: Restricted to OATK and GD-OTS Authority: FAR 6.302-3, J&A Control # 07-028
The previous three 120mm Tank Training Ammunition J&As (Control # 07-028, 11-031 and 16-016) have restricted competition to OATK (now known as NG) and GD-OTS. These J&As contained information that the USG would continue to perform market research in an attempt to seek additional sources. Based on the results of market research discussed above in paragraph 8, the USG expects competition in addition to NG and GD-OTS. Therefore, the USG will restrict competition to sources within the U.S., its outlying areas, or Canada.
b. Acquisition Data Availability: The USG will make cartridge TDPs available for this procurement. The TDPs, which include drawings, specifications, documentation and/or technical guidance, will enable subcontractors to be responsive to the systems contractors. The TDP documents contain various distribution statements, which include “A” (approval for public release); “C” (authorized to USG agencies and their contractors) and “D” (authorized to DoD and U.S. DoD contractors only).
c. Unusual and compelling urgency: N/A.
