Purchase Description

ALTAIR

Date: 01 Dec 2024

1. Description & Purpose: The Risk Management Center would like to purchase software to analyze potential problems and determine risk and plot solutions on Dam and Levee projects. CEIWR-RMC is requesting to purchase a subscription of ALTAIR units which will allow for the use of several modeling software products in the ALTAIR marketplace specifically HyperMesh which works with other software that we currently already use such as LSDYNA.

2. Scope: ALTAIR software marketplace is critical to the Risk Management Center risk assessment mission as well as the National USACE Asset Management Program. Without this software the USACE Dam and Levee Safety mission will be negatively impacted, projects will be delayed, and critical project decisions will not be made in a timely manner.
