About this file

This is a Sole Source Justification document for the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) seeking servicing and repair of Pine Superpave Gyratory Compactors. The document justifies a direct procurement from Pine Test Equipment, Inc. as the sole authorized service provider for these specialized laboratory equipment units. The service contract will supply parts and services to calibrate, service, and repair three Pine SGC units, which are critical for ERDC's ongoing research efforts in asphalt mixture testing and analysis. The procurement will be funded through Civil Works Funding (21x2040), and the justification is based on Pine Test Equipment, Inc. being the only vendor with the specific knowledge and skills to repair the Pine AFGC125X units, which they manufactured from 1994 through 2005.
