About this file

This document is a Description of Requirements (DOR) for the procurement of 21 Interlocking Alaskan T-Walls for the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory at Fort Johnson, LA. The precast concrete walls must have a compressive strength of 5,000 psi, reinforced with 60,000 psi rebar, and feature a smooth finish on all surfaces except the bottom, which will have a broom finish. The minimum clear concrete cover is 1.5 inches, and lifting is specified using a Meadow Burke DB-53, 8-ton dogbone (with permitted substitutions). Shipping can be priced separately for each item, and all 21 walls must be delivered to Range 15A at Fort Johnson, LA no later than 60 days from contract award.

The technical drawings provide detailed specifications for seven different rebar types (Types 1-7), with most using 15mm (#4) A605 rebar and two types using 25mm (#8) A605 rebar. The drawings include specific dimensions, rebar placement, and bend radius requirements, with notes specifying minimum inside bend radii for the rebar. The technical specifications include precise measurements for plan, section, and elevation views, ensuring strict compliance with the required geometric and structural characteristics of the Interlocking Alaskan T-Walls.
