About this file
This document outlines requirements for a vibration dampening table and EMI shielding system to support a Thermo Fischer FEI Talos F200x TEM system. The vibration table must provide isolation beginning at below 1 Hz and attenuation levels ranging from -5 to -15 dB over frequencies from 1 to 2.5 Hz or higher. It requires a 6 degree of freedom active isolation design, steel laminate platform tops to support the TEM body and electronics cabinet, and an extension to raise the enclosure height. The EMI shielding system must accommodate a room up to 224x253x162 inches, include sensors and controllers for analog feedback and digital gain control to cancel AC and DC fields up to 1 kHz with continuous monitoring. It must be delivered to the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center in Vicksburg, MS by 31 December 2023. The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number W912HZ23Q7753 from the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Research and Development Center to provide the specified vibration dampening table and EMI shielding system.
