About this file
This document is a Sources Sought synopsis from the Bureau of Reclamation seeking information on potential sources to provide PIT Tags. The Bureau is looking to identify suppliers, both small and large businesses, that have the capability and qualifications to provide the specified PIT Tags, which are used by the Oregon Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) to tag fish. The synopsis provides details on the required PIT Tag specifications, including that they must be compatible with specific tagging equipment used by ODFW. Interested vendors are requested to provide information on their company, business size/classification, experience with similar requirements, and details on the products they would offer to fulfill this requirement. Responses are due by June 21, 2024. This synopsis serves to support market research and acquisition planning for a future solicitation that will likely be issued under FAR Part 12 for commercial products and services.

PIT Tag Specification
Pre-loaded Trays has tags loaded in single use needles and packaged in a tray of 100. The tags are secured inside the needle, so no worrying about tags falling out before being implanted. It also eliminates the need to disinfect between implants, making it a very efficient and safe tagging system.
PIT TAG IMPLANTERS must be compatible with the MK10 syringe with N125 needle, the MK7 Combo, Biomark Pre-load System and Biomark Pre-load Sterile. This is the equipment the Oregon Fish and
Wildlife (ODFW) use to tag fish. ODFW is responsible for tagging the fish with PIT Tags that are purchased by Reclamation and transferred to ODFW, so Reclamation is meeting the Terms and
Conditions of the 2109 NMFS BiOp.
