About this file
This document is a set of procurement portal instructions issued by the City of Charlotte for electronic solicitation and bid submission. The instructions detail the process for submitting questions and bid responses through the Bonfire online procurement platform (https://charlottenc.bonfirehub.com), with specific guidelines for electronic submission. The City strongly recommends vendors begin the uploading process ideally one week before the project's deadline, allowing sufficient time to complete submission considering potential large file upload times.
The instructions provide technical support information, including compatible web browsers (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox), required browser settings (JavaScript and cookies enabled), and Bonfire support contact details. Vendors are directed to submit all solicitation questions through the Vendor Discussions section of the respective project page and can access technical support via Bonfire's help forum, email (Support@GoBonfire.com), or phone (1-800-354-8010). A five-minute training video is also recommended to help vendors understand the registration and submission process.
