PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT

Commissioning Service for Plasma Cutting Machine Controller

The Dalles Lock and Dam, The Dalles OR

1.0 GENERAL STATEMENT:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District is soliciting services to provide repairs, troubleshooting, commissioning, and training for a Plasma Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine.

The purpose of this service is to make this machine fully functional.

In 2016 a Laguna / Thermal Dynamics CNC plasma cutting machine was purchased by The Dalles Lock and Dam. In 2019 the computer user interface failed. A new replacement controller was supplied in 2019.

The new controller was installed by local craftsmen per vendor requirements, however it could not be made to work. Several attempts to work remotely with CNC vendor technicians have not proven successful. The local craftsmen do not have the skills, knowledge or access to critical files for setting up the new controller.

This is a firm-fixed price contract for making the CNC Plasma cutting machine be usable and to provide training of local technicians to ensure they can program, operate and maintain the machine.
