Technical Specifications

LITTLE GOOSE LOCK AND DAM

FISH LADDER COOLING PUMP REPAIR

1. Intent

The Grundfos KWM pump, which is part of the fish ladder cooling system, is damaged beyond field serviceable levels. The Grundfos KWM pump will be repaired to the original manufacturer specifications.

2. Scope

Perform evaluation of the Grundfos KWM pump upon receiving and repair to restore factory performance of the pump. Upon completion of refurbishment, restore the pump with a 1yr parts and labor warranty.

3. Fish Ladder Cooling Pump

Successful offeror shall perform all repairs to return the Grundfos KWM.40”.265.10.T.60.650.M.46 to serviceable condition.

3.1. Grundfos KWM.40”.265.10.T.60.650.M.46 Repair Condition (CLIN 0001)

The spare KWM pump experienced motor wire lead damage causing water intrusion into the submerged pump. The subject pump will be disassembled and inspected. Depending on the results of the inspection, various parts may be required to repair and fully re-assemble the pump.

Recommended work scope will include inspection and replacement if required:

3.1.1. Clean, disassemble and inspect entire unit.

3.1.2. Supply and install:

3.1.2.1. ▪ New Upper and lower bearings

3.1.2.2. ▪ New Upper and lower mechanical seals

3.1.2.3. ▪ New thermal and moisture switches, temperature and leakage sensors

3.1.2.4. ▪ New Gaskets, O-rings and lubricants

3.1.2.5. ▪ Bake/test stator assembly – determine final status

3.1.2.6. ▪ Re-wind stator

3.1.2.7. ▪ New power cables and control cable

3.1.3. Reassemble, and dry test entire unit with IO/SM modules

3.1.4. Paint entire unit with black industrial enamel and prepare for shipping.

4. Shipment and Delivery

Items shall be delivered FOB to Little Goose Lock and Dam within twenty (20) weeks of award. The contractor shall be responsible for the pick-up and delivery of the Fish Ladder Cooling Pump. The contractor shall be responsible for packing and shipping the components in a manner that will ensure undamaged and complete arrival to Little Goose Lock and Dam. No shipments are allowed other than normal business hours of Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays.
