About this file
This document is an installation instructions and templates guide for plumbing and electrical supplies required for the A-2 dental delivery system spotting equipment.
The document specifies detailed requirements for five utility installations: Air requires a 1/2" nominal pipe compression fitting protruding 2" from the finished floor or wall with 80-100 psi at 2.5 scfm minimum (7.5 scfm peak intermittent flow); Water requires a 1/2" nominal pipe with 60±20 psi at 1.5 gpm minimum, not exceeding 40°C, with city water plumbing only needed if the unit lacks a self-contained water system; Electrical requires a 1/2" conduit and box with a Hospital Grade horizontal duplex receptacle positioned no higher than 4.25" above finished floor at 120 volts, 3-wire; Central Vacuum (wet systems) requires a 1/2" O.D. tube protruding 1" perpendicular to the floor at 10-12 in Hg and 9 scfm minimum, while dry/semi-dry systems require 4.5±1 in Hg and 12 scfm minimum; and Gravity Drain requires a 1-1/2" nominal pipe protruding 1" from the finished floor with a trap installed per local codes. The contractor supplies all piping, while the dental dealer supplies shut-off valves and electrical components. All plumbing and utilities must conform to prevailing local codes and be installed by licensed plumbers and electricians. The document includes a floor plan template showing typical utility center locations relative to the A-2 dental chair.
