About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Los Padres National Forest Bird Survey project. The objective is to have a certified wildlife biologist conduct surveys of fuels reduction project areas prior to implementation to assess the potential impact on migratory birds during nesting season. The period of performance is February 3, 2025 to July 31, 2025, and the work will take place at the Los Padres National Forest in Goleta, California. The Forest Service is the procuring agency.
The RFP requires vendors to submit a quotation using the provided Schedule of Items (SOI) worksheet, including unit prices for field survey days and field survey reports. Quotes must be valid for 30 days after the solicitation due date of July 26, 2024. The award will be made to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest priced, technically acceptable quote. Vendors must also provide a resume or qualifications demonstrating expertise with the birds of southern California. The RFP includes details on required personal protective equipment, safety protocols, invoicing, and other terms and conditions.
