This project is required to comply with the Build America, Buy America Act for domestic procurement of materials and products.
The contract includes Small Diverse Business (SDB) and Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals, which vary by trade. The SDB goal is 8% for general construction, 5% for HVAC, and 11% for electrical. The VBE goal is 3% for all trades. Bidders must agree to meet the goals or demonstrate good faith efforts. There are no SDB or VBE goals for the plumbing trade, as the project value is below the $400,000 threshold.
