About this file

The document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Procurement Office for Bid No. DOT-ITB-25-9062-CA, titled "2024 Blood Mobile Bus". The solicitation is for the purchase of a bus shell, with the bid opening scheduled for March 25, 2025, at 2:00 pm local time. The delivery location for the purchased bus is 17 Commerce Boulevard in Midway, FL. The Q&A document clarifies key details about the procurement, including confirmation that the bid is specifically for a bus shell only, without interior fabrication, and that alternative bus models like the Bluebird All American Bus can be considered alongside the originally specified Freightliner.

The document indicates that this is a straightforward bus procurement with minimal additional requirements. Notably, when asked about potential interior build-out specifications for a blood mobile (such as donor beds, intake offices, power systems, AC units, and other detailed interior configurations), the FDOT responded that these details are "Not applicable for this solicitation." This suggests the agency is seeking only the base bus shell and will handle interior customization separately or through a different procurement process. The bid appears to be a standard vehicle purchase without complex interior specifications at this stage.
