About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the Evaluation of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) in FC-5 Mixtures. The RFP seeks to test two RAP sources, a Florida limestone RAP and a granite RAP (likely Georgia granite), to be used in FC-5 mixtures. The bid opening is scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 9:00 AM EST. All prospective bidders must be registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketplace system, and out-of-state companies must be authorized to do business in Florida. The contract is subject to Florida's public record laws, and respondents are prohibited from contacting FDOT employees between the release of the solicitation and the end of the 72-hour period following the agency's posting of the notice of intended award.

The RFP does not provide specific details on pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or sources. However, it is clear that the FDOT is seeking to evaluate the use of RAP in FC-5 mixtures, which are commonly used in Florida's pavement construction and rehabilitation projects.
