Question 1
Are there any special access restrictions such as time or escort requirements for the Wilson Road or McArthur sites?
Answer 1
Access is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., local time. Escort is not required if contractor has personnel that successfully passed the SLERS background check, otherwise, FDOT escort will be provided as reasonably required.
Question 2
Have rack locations/space been identified for the new servers and rectifiers?
Answer 2
Rack elevation drawings are provided in the drawing package. Please refer to Addendum #1.
Question 3
We see the McArthur site locations is changing. Is the Wilson Road location unchanged?
Answer 3
There are changes to the floor plan and rack layouts at both McArthur and Wilson Road locations. These are reflected in the drawing package. Please refer to Addendum #1.
Question 4
Will the new servers have new IP addresses available in order to facilitate migration?
Answer 4
Two servers will need new IP address and will be provided by the FDOT. Two servers will re-use the existing server's IP addresses. The information will be provided to the awarded contractor.
Question 5
Will FDOT be configuring the necessary IP environment or is this a contractor requirement?
Answer 5
The IP environment will be ready to support the installation of the new equipment. FDOT will perform any required configuration changes with the assistance of NOKIA support.
Question 6
Will remote access be available to servers to allow remote configuration and test?
Answer 6
The FDOT can provide SSL secure remote access to contractor personnel that complete the necessary background check and training.
Question 7
Are the HP servers AC powered, hence the inverters? Do you intend the Dell severs to be DC powered or powered by inverters?
Answer 7
NOKIA has informed the FDOT that they currently do not support NSP servers with DC power supplies. Therefore, the NOKIA-supported HP AC-powered servers are required to utilize inverters. The work-around SFTP server based on a Dell rack-mount workstation is also AC powered and will require an inverter. Please refer to Addendum #1.
Question 8
Can you elaborate on 6.11? Are there any expectations of additional software or application requirements?
Answer 8
It is the responsibility of the contractor to provide a complete and functioning installation. Section 6.11 is included to cover any unknowns that may be required for full functionality of the NSP applications.
Question 9
Are there specific software applications that have been tested to meet the requirements of 6.12.2 or is it anticipated that the contractor will identify or develop these services?
Answer 9
This section describes a known NSP limitation with respect to SFTP and the NOKIA-provided workaround to be implemented. If more specific information is required, we recommend contacting NOKIA support. It is not expected that the contractor will require to develop these services as off the shelf SFTP components can be used.
